This focus reviews recent developments regarding district heating networks, notably in relation to national objectives (PPE - multiannual energy planning -, the TECV act (French law for energy transition for green growth), the NOTRe law – new territorial organisation of France) and also in relation to developments in the economic context.
It also presents a regional state of play of district heating networks in order to highlight regional potential. The different recovery and renewable forms of energy which can be used are presented and highlighted with innovative regional examples.
